The new smartphones are all powered by XMAGE, the imaging brand it launched in July following the news that Huawei already parted ways with German camera and optics manufacturer Leica. Only the latter, the most affordable of them all, relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 4G chip, but the rest use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 4G SoC.
Newly launched in China is the Huawei Mate 50 series, which comprises the Huawei Mate 50 RS Porsche Design, Huawei Mate 50 Pro, Huawei Mate 50, and Huawei Mate 50E.
